However, we are not only called to live our Catholic faith on days when there is a feast or fast, but each and every day. That is why in this collection you’ll find all the traditional prayers, hymns, and indulgences our family has used to build a Liturgy of Life. So that you too can have the foundation to live liturgically no matter what day it may be and build a habit of holiness in your home for every season.

We begin with the prayers that focus on the dedication of eace month and then add those for each day of the week. Like a Rule of Life for an individual, a family’s Liturgy of Life is the spiritual foundation for the day that all liturgical living can be built upon. We may not all live in a monastery or convent, but we can all follow the example of religious life in taking time throughout the day to recollect our family to God in the midst of our daily tasks. And the habit of a Liturgy of Life is a great tool we can use to do this. I pray that this Liturgy of Life is as much of a blessing for your family as it has been for ours.

The gift of your donation helps cover the needs of this apostolate. November Meal Time Wall Prayers https://barefootabbey.com/product/november-meal-time-wall-prayers/ https://barefootabbey.com/product/november-meal-time-wall-prayers/#respond Tue, 15 Nov 2022 11:52:32 +0000 https://barefootabbey.com/?post_type=product&p=13956 "O Lord, the God of my salvation: I have cried in the day, and in the night before thee. Let my prayer come in before thee: incline thy ear to my petition.” - Psalm 88:1-2

After adding in the meal blessing and thanksgiving, our next little steps to liturgical living were to add a prayer at supper for the monthly dedication. Each month of the Catholic year has a traditional dedication and November’s is the Poor Souls in Purgatory. Pinning a related prayer to supper is our daily reminder of the month’s dedication and what it’s commemoration is supposed to be teaching us over these few weeks.

So as a visual reminder for your family and mine, I made a set of our favorite prayers in memory of the Poor Souls. Add as many or few to your meals, school day, or anytime as works for your particular family.

This set contains 8 digital prints that can be used and chosen from year after year.

Included are the:

  • Eternal Rest prayer
  • Eternal Father, I Offer Thee the Most Precious Blood prayer
  • O God, the Creator & Redeemer of All the Faithful prayer

Each prayer print is in both English and Latin when available. And you can choose to print them in ether black ink or one of our two Icon inspired color ways that best matches your seasonal decor. Magnetic poster holders make for easy displaying and switching out of prints each month.

Daily Dedication Prayers Booklet https://barefootabbey.com/product/daily-dedication-prayers/ https://barefootabbey.com/product/daily-dedication-prayers/#respond Tue, 16 Nov 2021 19:21:46 +0000 https://barefootabbey.com/?post_type=product&p=13470 The daily missal makes it easy to know what prayers are fitting for different feasts and commemorations. But, what is not so commonly recognized is that there are similar related prayers for ferias - those days of the liturgical year without any assigned memorial.

Like the months of the Catholic year, the days of the week traditionally have specific dedications as well. And we can look to these dedications as our spiritual focus and prayer inspiration for the day. Along with our family prayer for the monthly dedication and the cornerstone of the daily rosary, these daily dedication prayers are a simple way to add more prayer to your busy home and begin to form your family’s liturgy of life.

The Daily Dedication are:

  • The Trinity for Sunday
  • The Poor Souls for Monday
  • The Holy Angels & St. Anthony for Tuesday
  • St. Joseph for Wednesday
  • The Most Blessed Sacrament for Thursday
  • The Passion of Christ for Friday
  • The Blessed Virgin Mary for Saturday

We add these traditional responsories for the days and corresponding prayers as part of school days’ Morning Liturgy, however, they could just as easily be pinned to breakfast or read on the way to school.

The gift of your donation helps cover the needs of this apostolate. And we appreciate it more than you can know.   Your family may also be blessed by our:   You can also find this printable and all the other resources, help, and encouragement you need for living liturgically every month by joining our Feast + Fast + Feria Collective here.
