Feast + Fast + Feria About & FAQs

About

Feast + Fast + Feria is a Catholic mothers liturgical collective. It is a monthly mentorship that provides all the community, encouragement, and printable resources you need to live the Catholic liturgical year _every day_ of the month. We have gathered from our family's over 15 years of liturgical living in the home to include: prayers, monthly ordo calenders of holy days and liturgical activities, liturgical meal plans, recipes, hymn studies with recordings, and much more. As a part of the Feast + Fast + Feria collective _every_ resource I've made for my family for that month is yours.

When our family began living liturgically, our intention was to build, not just for the now but, for long after when we have left this earth. Through our family's culture of Catholic traditions and customs, we wanted to slowly lay each stone for eternity, and erect the spiritual legacy of a beautiful cathedral that will stand for generation after generation.

With this as our final goal, we modeled our family culture, homeschool, and daily life after monastic life and the rhythm of the Church in its feasts and seasons. Each day we continue to have them inspire and inform as many facets of our home as we are able, be it what we are learning, memorizing, praying, singing, or eating. We want our children to make friends with the saints and for the lens by which they see the world to be the lessons of the lives of the saints.

This was the medieval gaze as well. The saints and common Catholic folk of that era experienced the world through a palpable presence of God and a reliance both spiritual and physical on His daily providence. And we pray our children also have this inherent connection with Christ the King, their savior.

And now my dear sister, this is the perspective we want to help cultivate in your families through this collective and our resources. The grand cathedrals of old were not built single handedly, and the cathedrals of our family's legacy of faith need not be either. It would give us great joy to have you as part of our collective and help your family on their journey to heaven one feast, fast, and feria at a time.

“But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting.” - Jude 1:20-21
